The presentation will focus on clinical engagement supporting adolescents quit vapes, including assessment and management of nicotine dependence using the 5As brief intervention framework.

Objectives:

• Increase understanding of what e-cigarettes are
• Become familiar with clinical tools to screen and assess for nicotine dependence
• Supporting adolescents and young people to quit the vapes

Dr Bronwyn Milne is a Paediatrician,  Addiction Medicine Specialist and Staff Specialist in Adolescent Medicine at the Sydney children’s Hospital Network

Mary Wahhab works as the clinical Nurse Consultant for CICADA Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Service.
