Support for drug checking is highest among: People aged 18–24 (86%), Speakers of languagesother than English (85%) and Tertiary-educated individuals (80%). A new survey of over 900 South Australian voters reveals strong public support for theintroduction of drug checking/ pill testing services across the state. Conducted between 15–28May 2025, the research highlights a growing shift in public attitudes toward drug policy reform,with a majority of respondents backing progressive changes aimed at improving healthoutcomes, reducing crime, and enhancing personal freedoms.
