The Board of the South Australian Network of Drug and Alcohol Services (SANDAS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Endacott as the new Chief Executive Officer. Fiona will commence with SANDAS on Monday 5th January 2026.

As Chairperson of the Board, Alex Ingleton shared,

“We are thrilled to welcome Fiona to SANDAS. Her reputation for strategic leadership, innovative thinking, and passionate advocacy is well known across the not-for-profit sector. Fiona’s collaborative approach and deep understanding of community systems make her the ideal leader to guide SANDAS into its next chapter. The Board is confident that Fiona will amplify the voice of South Australian service providers and strengthen our commitment to reducing the harmful impact of alcohol and other drugs.”

With more than 15 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, Fiona Endacott has worked across drug & alcohol, mental health, and child protection, most recently serving as CEO of Connecting Foster & Kinship Carers SA. Her leadership has been marked by expanding reach and influence, driving policy reform, and facilitating positive change in policy, practice, and legislation.

Reflecting on her appointment, Fiona Endacott said,

“I hold a strong commitment to building a supportive and resilient South Australian community and I look forward to leading the peak body for drug and alcohol services, amplifying the voice of SA service providers to strengthen a commitment to reduce the harmful impact of alcohol and other drugs.”

The Board would also like to sincerely thank Michael White for his outstanding service and leadership as Executive Officer. Michael’s dedication and vision have been instrumental in advancing SANDAS’s mission and supporting the South Australian community. His commitment to the organisation and sector has left a lasting legacy, and the Board is deeply appreciative of his many years of hard work.

As SANDAS welcomes Fiona Endacott to the helm, both the Board and staff are excited to collaborate with her in driving the organisation forward. Together, they look forward to strengthening support and advocacy for the sector and making a positive impact on the communities they serve throughout South Australia.
