Carman has over 25 years of experience in the social services sector in Australia and the UK, working in public and not-for-profit organisations ranging from health, early childhood, disability services and housing, she brings extensive knowledge and understanding of the key strategic and operational challenges and opportunities that the social services sector face. As a CPA-qualified accountant, she also brings financial expertise and understanding to her roles, with a keen focus on effective budgeting, management reporting and operational efficiencies. Carman is keenly interested in understanding the social implications that broader policy directives have on individuals and communities and the relationships businesses have with these. Since 2023 Carman has held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness guiding the organisation through a critical growth and transformative period.
