Chris is an experienced executive with 20+ years’ experience strategically leading organisations to achieve optimal health and social outcomes, with a focus on strategy, business development, operational performance, governance and risk management. He holds qualifications in Social Science, AOD and Community Sector Management and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).
He has worked across South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland in the community managed health and primary care sectors at the intersection of strategy, policy, governance, commissioning and operational areas, including drug and alcohol, homelessness, harm reduction, primary health, mental health, criminal justice, Aboriginal-specific programs and specialist ABI interventions. His work focuses on leading service improvements and design that create positive change in people’s lives, always keeping the person at the centre of change, whilst challenging the systems and attitudes that lead to inequality and disadvantage. He is driven by his ideas on creating system solutions that optimise health care pathways and population health outcomes through innovation and integration.
Chris considers research, evaluation and data-led planning and implementation are fundamental in establishing initiatives with maximum impact. He has sat on a range of AOD and mental health advisory bodies.
