Board Member

Kim has devoted over fifteen years to advancing social justice through her work with The Salvation Army, primarily within the homelessness and alcohol and other drug (AOD) sectors. Her career began in frontline counselling, where she provided therapeutic support to individuals navigating homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, family breakdowns, and other complex life circumstances. These early experiences shaped her deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of person-centred care.

Kim is deeply passionate about social justice and remains committed to advocating for systemic change that addresses the root causes of disadvantage. She is particularly focused on creating inclusive, strengths-based environments where frontline staff feel supported and equipped to make a meaningful impact. Her work continues to reflect a lifelong dedication to improving outcomes for people experiencing marginalisation and hardship.
